Assistant Quantity Surveyor Location: BirminghamEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent Remuneration: 35,000 - 50,000 per annum plus car/car allowance and benefits About the Role We are seeking a motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within the MandE sector, working on a range of commercial and residential projects alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation for MandE worksSupport the procurement of subcontractors and suppliersHelp evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparisonsAssist with valuations, variations, and final accountsMonitor project costs and cash flow under supervisionAttend site meetings and liaise with project teamsSupport the preparation of monthly cost reportsEnsure compliance with contractual and commercial proceduresRequirementsDegree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Building Services, or a related field ideally (not a prerequisite)Previous experience or placement within an MandE or construction environment (not a prerequisite)Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (not a prerequisite)Strong numerical and analytical skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applicationsFull UK driving licence (preferred) What We Of
