Sales Director - Radar Systems

Our client, a prominent entity in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Sales Director to join their team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to lead the sales function, drive growth strategies, and achieve significant financial targets within the business.Key Responsibilities:Lead the Sales function within the company.Execute sales growth strategies to achieve company-wide financial targets agreed with the CEO.Achieve personal sales targets agreed with the CEO.Expand sales into new markets and regions.Line manage and build good working relationships within the sales team.Develop and mentor junior sales staff, offering structured advice and support.Foster strong working relationships between the Sales and Engineering functions.Provide key market information to the Engineering team to ensure product alignment with market requirements.Oversee Sales team recruitment and create training programmes for new and existing employees.Analyse market trends and results.Key Measure of Success:Meet and exceed agreed new sales order targets.Build pipeline value year on year.Skills, Competencies and Behaviours:Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate people.Technical competence and the ability to communicate new concepts and solutions to customers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to call, connect, and interact with potential customers.Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team.Multitasking
