Location: Southend-on-SeaRate per hour: £38 per hourWorking Arrangements: Hybrid, 30 Hours per WeekAn excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children''s Social Worker to join a Fostering Support Team on a part-time basis.This role is ideal for a social worker with current fostering experience who is passionate about supporting foster carers and ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people in care.About the role:Provide ongoing support, supervision, and guidance to foster carers.Manage a caseload of fostering households, ensuring statutory requirements are met.Undertake foster carer reviews, assessments, and support visits.Work closely with children, foster carers, families, and partner agencies to promote placement stability.Contribute to care planning and permanency planning for children in foster care.Identify support needs and coordinate appropriate interventions and services.Complete accurate assessments, reports, and case recordings within required timescales.Participate in meetings, reviews, and multi-agency discussions.Ensure safeguarding concerns are managed effectively and in line with statutory guidance.RequirementsQualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.Current experience working within a Fostering Team is essential.Candidates without current fostering social work experience will not be considered.Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.Strong knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding legislation
