Operations Manager – Consultancy , you will lead the consultancy division, ensuring our strategies, people, and sub-consultants deliver outstanding results for clients and for the business.This is a leadership role for an A-Player who thrives on strategy, accountability, and commercial delivery. You’ll combine client relationship management, financial oversight, and team leadership to deliver projects that protect lives and set new standards of excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the consultancy division, ensuring alignment with Harmony’s wider business goals and methodologyOwn and develop client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering value through expertise and insightProvide accurate forecasting of project costs, resources, and programme milestones – maintaining accuracy within 10%Ensure consultancy projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest compliance standardsDrive financial performance by protecting margin, managing sub-consultant input, and ensuring value for moneySupport business development with expert advice on scope, compliance, and programme mattersNegotiate effectively with clients and sub-consultants, justifying costs and demonstrating valueSelect, manage, and develop high-performing sub-consultants to ensure capacity, capability, and accountabilityMentor and coach consultancy staff, contributing to appraisals, professional development, and performance managementInnovate and streamline processes to maximise efficiency and delivery performanceCollaborate closely with Delivery to ensure seamless transition from consultancy to works phaseManage project challenges to 100% resolution, both internally and externallyProduce structured client progress reports and maintain accurate records in SalesforcePromote and embed the Harmony methodology (Think, Protect, Sustain) across all consultancy projectsWhat We’re Looking ForStrong background in consultancy or project management within construction, MandE, or fire protectionProven ability to lead project strategy and execution from scope through to deliverablesCommercial intelligence and financial acumen – able to protect margins while maintaining client trustSkilled communicator – clear, persuasive, and empathetic with clients and sub-consultantsLogical, proactive problem solver who brings solutions, not just challengesStrong leadership and people management skills – able to inspire, coach, and hold others to accountHighly organised with a do it right first time mindsetAmbitious, passionate, and committed to building a consultancy service that outperforms competitorsWhat We Look For in Our PeopleAt Harmony Fire, we live by our values:Athlete’s Grit
