This well-respected fire systems installer are looking to recruit a Project Engineer based in the West Midlands to support the Project Manager to deliver Water Mist projects on time, to budget and in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Contributing to project Initiation/handover meetings with all stakeholders including Sales, Design, QS.
• Production and maintenance of project programme.
• Communication with clients throughout the life of a project.
• Maintenance of central project file records.
• Attendance at internal project Cost To Complete (CTC) meetings.
• Completion and submission to relevant stakeholders of all end-of-project documentation e.g. OandM, As-Fitted Drawings, Certification.
• Ensuring installers are adequately briefed, are competent and qualified to fulfil all project requirements.
• Supporting and managing of on-site resources ensuring all issues are resolved and the programme maintained.
• Identifying, recording and ensuring the resolution of any supplier generated non-conformities.
• Consulting with subject matter experts where required.
• Management of material and labour costs and raising of final accounts.
• Identification and invoicing of variations to contract.
• Undertaking and recording on-site inspections in accordance with EHS001 scheduled frequency.
• Facilitating on-site toolbox talks.
• Ensuring on-site understanding and adherence to all Company HandS rules
• Completion of all HandS related documentation Inc. RAMs, attendance sheets etc.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications needed:

• Working knowledge of engineering drawings.
• Experience in managing small and large budget projects (£5k to £2m) in the construction/fire protection industry.
• Practiced at management of on-site labour and resources.
• Hold a current and relevant SMSTS and CSCS Card Holder.
• Knowledge of CDM Management Principles.
• Holds a relevant NVQ/NHD/HNC/City and Guilds within Building Services or Mechanical discipline.
• Knowledge of production of project documentation eg. RAMs, Quality Plans, Project Plans, Cost Sheets (CTC), Trackers.
• Familiarity with all standard MS office applications
