Overview Our client, a well-established and fast-growing food and consumer products business, is seeking a Specification Technologist to join their Technical team at their Nuneaton site. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-driven technical professional to play a key role in ensuring product specifications are accurate, compliant, and maintained to the highest industry standards. The position sits within a collaborative technical function and works closely with NPD, Regulatory, Supply Chain, and external suppliers. Responsibilities Create, review, and maintain raw material and finished product specifications across internal and customer systems. Ensure all specifications comply with current UK/EU legislation, including allergen, nutritional, and labelling requirements. Obtain and validate supplier technical documentation, including allergen declarations and compositional data. Support product launches by verifying technical information prior to submission and approval. Review and approve packaging artwork to ensure legal and technical accuracy. Maintain and update specification databases following reformulations or supplier changes. Conduct gap analysis and risk assessments related to specification data. Provide technical documentation to support internal and external audits. Monitor regulatory updates and implement necessary specification changes.
