Health & Safety Advisor / Officer - Utility Scale Solar Farm
Location: Essex (5 days per week, onsite)
Contract: 3 months+ with strong potential for extension
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
We''re looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor/Officer to join a major utility scale solar farm construction project in Essex.
The role

• Provide day-to-day H&S support and guidance to the site team and subcontractors
• Carry out site inspections, audits and toolbox talks
• Review RAMS, permits to work and method statements
• Investigate incidents and near misses, and drive corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 and all relevant legislation
• Maintain accurate H&S records and reporting

Essential requirements

• Proven experience on utility scale solar projects (essential)
• NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
• CSCS card
• Current SMSTS / CITB qualifications
• Experience on large civils or electrical construction sites
• Full UK driving licence and own transport to site

Desirable

• Tech IOSH or NEBOSH Diploma
• First Aid at Work
• Experience with HV or electrical safety
