Customer Description

Manpower is currently looking for HGV 1 and 2 drivers to work with one of our clients based in Newbridge ( near Edinburgh)

Specific tasks will include:

• Overseeing the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises.
• Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed andamp; returned
• Check the load security andamp; weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards in terms of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
• Ensuring vehicles are in a safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use andamp; are operated in a safe manner.

Essential Skills for the role:

• To hold a valid HGV Class 1 or HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points)
• Driver CPC andamp; Digital Tachograph card
• Knowledge of working time directive
• Multi-Drop experience
• Experience working with Steel

Hours of work will be dayshift Monday to Friday.
