About the Pub

This is a highly regarded fresh-food country pub known for its welcoming atmosphere, quality local produce and outstanding Sunday roasts.

The kitchen is genuinely fresh-led, preparing everything on site including bread, soups, sauces, burgers, fresh game, meat and fish dishes

The pub enjoys a busy summer season with BBQs, hog roasts and private functions throughout the year, offering plenty of variety and a fast-paced but enjoyable working environment.

The Role

As the Sous Chef you will be working closely with the Head Chef, playing a key role in maintaining high standards across the kitchen while helping develop fresh, seasonal menus.

This is an ideal opportunity for a strong Sous Chef who enjoys fresh food cooking, can lead by example during busy services and wants to be part of a stable, professional team.

We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience as a Sous Chef / Second Chef / 2nd Chef / Senior Chef de Partie in a fresh food pub, restaurant or similar environment
  • Strong fresh food and prep skills
  • Ability to work confidently in a busy, high-volume kitchen
  • Passion for quality seasonal produce
  • A positive attitude and team-focused approach
  • Creative ideas and enthusiasm for menu development
  • Own transport essential due to location

Working Hours

  • 5 days out of 7
  • Two consecutive days off each week
