Systems Engineer: Infrastructure Full-time Hybrid (at least 4 days per week on-site in Bloomsbury, London) Fixed term for 1 year £43,225 per annum Application deadline: 23:59 on Sunday 15 November About the role We are seeking a practical and proactive Systems Engineer to join our Information Services department and help deliver and support critical IT infrastructure across the British Museum. This is an excellent opportunity for an infrastructure professional who enjoys hands-on technical work and wants to broaden their experience across server, network, cloud and telephony services. Working as part of a collaborative technology team, you will help maintain the availability, performance and security of the Museum''s infrastructure, supporting around 1,000 colleagues as well as the systems and services used by millions of visitors. You will monitor and maintain infrastructure services, respond to incidents and alerts, carry out preventative maintenance and support upgrades and improvements. You will work closely with more senior infrastructure colleagues, the Service Desk, other Information Services teams and third-party suppliers to resolve issues and provide reliable services.
