Electrical Service Engineer - Heavy Industry & Power Generation

Location: Brentwood, Essex (Field-Based - Local Travel)
Salary: -40,000 - -47,000 + Overtime + Bonus + Van

Are you an experienced Electrical Service Engineer looking for a hands-on, field-based role in heavy industry, power generation, or industrial engineering? Our client, a well-established engineering company, is seeking a skilled engineer to provide maintenance, fault diagnosis, repair, installation, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems across the UK.

• Diagnose and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems.
• Carry out maintenance, breakdown repair, and reactive service work.
• Install and commission electrical equipment on-site.
• Perform inspection and testing in line with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Support planned outages and shutdowns.
• Conduct workshop-based electrical overhaul work when not on-site.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while on-site.

• Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship (preferred).
• City & Guilds 2360 - Electrical Installation.
• City & Guilds 2382 - 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• City & Guilds 2391 - Inspection & Testing.
• Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Knowledge of low voltage (LV) systems; experience with prime movers, generators, or Balance of Plant (BOP) desirable.
• Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, utilities, or power generation.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based service environment.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.

• -40,000 - -47,000 basic salary (DOE).
• Uncapped overtime and annual performance bonus.
