Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various locations. This role requires expertise in flatbed driving and a solid understanding of commercial driving regulations. As a HGV Class 2 Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest standards of service. Duties Operate flatbed lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal working condition. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients. Experience Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Valid commercial driving licence (C licence) with a clean driving record. Experience with flatbed lorries is highly desirable. Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is an advantage.
