Litigation Lawyer

Overview
Our client is a London Borough Council seeking a Litigation Lawyer to join their dynamic and busy in-house Legal Team on a permanent/contract basis with hybrid working arrangements.The role involves undertaking a varied caseload of criminal and civil litigation matters, including judicial review. The post holder will work under the supervision of a Senior Lawyer, may undertake litigation and prosecution work as required, and may advise Members and Officers. You may occasionally attend Licensing Committees and provide advice related to these matters.Location: London with attendance at the office at least 2 days per week.Responsibilities
Handle a varied caseload of criminal and civil litigation matters under supervision, including judicial review.Advise, negotiate, draft documents, and attend meetings relevant to the role.Provide advice to Members and Officers; undertake contentious proceedings where appropriate.Assist with licensing matters and related committee work when required.Undertake prosecutions and other litigation tasks as directed by the Senior Lawyer.Qualifications and Requirements
