Our client-is an MEP consultancy designing building services for commercial, education, healthcare and residential projects. We need an Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical designs from concept to completion.

What you will do

• Design power, lighting, containment, earthing and small power systems
• Design life safety systems, including fire alarm and emergency lighting
• Carry out cable sizing, lighting and load calculations
• Produce drawings, specifications and schedules in Revit and AutoCAD
• Make sure designs comply with BS 7671 and CIBSE guidance
• Attend design meetings and coordinate with mechanical and architectural teams

What you need

• Degree or HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• 3+ years in electrical building services design, ideally in a consultancy
• Strong knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
• Experience with Amtech, Dialux, Revit or similar
• Confident dealing with clients and design teams

Nice to have

• Low-carbon design experience (solar PV, EV charging, Part L)
• Data centre or healthcare project experience
• IEng or CEng with CIBSE or the IET, or working towards it
