Support Worker – Young Adults Residential Service

We are currently recruiting compassionate and practical Support Workers to join a fully inclusive community setting supporting young adults with complex additional learning needs and disabilities.

The Role:

Reporting to the House Manager, you will play a vital role in creating a supportive, family-style living and learning environment for residents. The residential houses are lively, sociable spaces where residents, staff, and volunteers come together daily. As a Support Worker in the Towy Valley, Carmarthenshire, you will assist residents with practical daily activities, promote independence, and help them advocate for their needs. The environment is warm, welcoming, and varied—ideal for individuals who are patient, reliable, and enjoy working in a dynamic setting. Full training is provided to help you succeed in your role.

Key Duties:

• Providing tailored support to residents with learning disabilities and complex needs
• Assisting with daily living tasks and personal care
• Promoting independence and life skills development
• Supporting residents in social activities and community engagement
• Building trusting relationships within a family-style environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Personality and attitude over experience—full training provided
• Kind, patient, and practical approach
• Reliable and consistent with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work flexible shifts across a 40-hour week
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
