Field Service Engineer

Location: South of England
Salary: -40,000 - -50,000 DOE + Overtime

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a specialist technical business, covering customer sites across the South of England.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced service engineer with a background in X-ray screening, security inspection or associated detection equipment to join a growing field-based engineering team.

• Install, commission, service and maintain X-ray screening equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic and mechanical faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Respond to customer breakdowns and provide effective technical support.
• Complete equipment testing and calibration where required.
• Provide customers with technical advice and guidance.
• Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records.
• Liaise with internal technical teams to resolve complex faults.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant Health & Safety procedures.
• Travel extensively throughout the South of England, with occasional overnight stays.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer.
• Direct experience working with X-ray screening equipment is essential.
• Strong electrical and electronic fault-finding skills.
• Mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience working independently at customer sites.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel throughout the South and stay away when required.

• -40,000 - -50,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
