- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals and regulatory standards.
- Oversee supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage contract performance to maximise value for money.
- Monitor procurement activities to ensure compliance with legal and organisational policies.
- Manage the procurement budget effectively, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain to ensure continuity and sustainability.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand and meet their procurement needs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the procurement team to enhance performance and development.
Profile
A successful Head of Procurement should have:
- A strong background in procurement and supply chain management within the not-for-profit or public sector.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing effective procurement strategies aligned to PCRS.
- Knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience in managing budgets and delivering cost savings.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
