This is a specialist school that caters for young people who have been excluded or at risk of being excluded from a mainstream school The RoleThe purpose of the Higher Level Teaching Assistant is to support the Class Teacher with all elements of the day to day running of the class and to teach whole classes, groups and individual lessons in consultation with the Class Teacher on a regular basis across a range of classes. Summary of Role: Experience of working with hard-to-reach young people with SEMH/ACE s/ASD/Sensory and communication difficulties.We are looking for candidates who are Trauma informed with a mentoring/coaching/teaching background and an understanding of Therapeutic Education.Have the ability to build strong, meaningful and healthy relationships.Who can maintain professional boundaries, are resilient, solution focussed and reflective in their practise.Full time (temporary long term) positions 8.30-4.30 (Mon-F
