English Teacher - Daventry

Salary: MPS/UPS - Dependent on experience

We are currently working with a range of secondary schools in Daventry that are looking to recruit passionate and dedicated English Teachers to join their teams for the new academic year starting September 2025. These schools are committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students can achieve their full potential. As an English Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering the curriculum across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students to develop critical literacy skills, and preparing them for their GCSE examinations. There are also opportunities for experienced teachers to deliver A-Level English where applicable. • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that meet the needs of a diverse student body

• Develop students'' reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills in line with the curriculum

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback to help them improve

• Manage classroom behaviour to create a positive learning environment

• Work collaboratively with department colleagues to support curriculum development and share best practice

• Engage with parents and carers to support student learning and behaviour when required

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Sound knowledge of the English curriculum at secondary level

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively

• Commitment to meeting the learning needs of all students, including those with additional support needs

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Flexibility and professionalism in meeting the demands of a busy school environment
