Year 6 Teaching Assistant - SATs Support

Reeson Education are currently recruiting for a Year 6 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Hanger Lane / Park Royal area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and academically strong Teaching Assistant who enjoys helping pupils develop their understanding and achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work primarily with small groups of Year 6 pupils, supporting them in the lead-up to their SATs. The role will focus on consolidating learning, addressing gaps in knowledge and helping pupils build confidence across the curriculum.

• Have a strong grasp of both Maths and English

• Have previous experience working with primary-aged children

• Be confident supporting Year 6 pupils

• Be able to explain concepts clearly and adapt explanations to individual pupils

• Have experience supporting small groups or one-to-one

• Be enthusiastic about helping children make academic progress

• Have a positive, patient and encouraging approach

• Be confident working alongside the class teacher to support pupils'' learning

• Supporting small groups of Year 6 pupils

• Helping pupils consolidate their Maths and English knowledge

• Preparing pupils for their SATs

• Identifying areas where pupils may need additional support

• Reinforcing key concepts and building confidence

• Working closely with the class teacher to support academic progress

This is not a SEN-focused position. The emphasis is on academic support and SATs preparation, so a strong knowledge of Maths and English is essential.
