A welcoming primary school in Great Missenden is looking for a compassionate and committed Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality classroom support across a whole class.
Weandrsquo;re seeking someone who is positive, adaptable, and passionate about creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Youandrsquo;ll work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of all pupils, helping to ensure every child feels encouraged, engaged, and able to achieve their full potential
About the Role:
- Providing tailored support to students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, under the direction of class teachers and the SENCO
- Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
- Contributing to the creation of a nurturing, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborating effectively with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external professionals to support student progress
- Promoting the development of independence, self-confidence, and communication skills in learners
The ideal candidate will:
- Possesses experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or speech and language difficulties
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience, along with a strong sense of humour
- Communicates clearly, confidently, and effectively
- Adapts flexibly to meet the individual needs of pupils
- Holds relevant classroom support qualifications (desirable but not essential)
