Operations Maintenance Engineer

About the OpportunityWorking with a pioneering aviation/defence tech organisation, this role puts you in the heart of operations. You will support unmanned aerial systems (UAV/drones) in deployment, ensuring systems are mission-ready, diagnosing faults, and maintaining propulsion / mechanical / electrical systems in challenging environments.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate in the field: maintain, troubleshoot, repair UAV / drone systems under operational conditionsManage spares, logistics, and line-replaceable units (LRUs)Provide propulsion / engine level-1 maintenance and supportLiaise with build team for system upgrades and improvementsStock, audit, and maintain deployment equipment and support kitsKeep meticulous documentation of maintenance, repairs, and logisticsRequired Skills and ExperienceStrong mechanical and electrical systems knowledge (hands-on)Experience (or strong aptitude) with UAV / drone / propulsion systems is highly desirableAbility to work in dynamic, high-pressure and remote field conditionsWillingness to deploy / travel globally (6 weeks on, 2 weeks off model)UK Right to Work (must not require visa sponsorship)Reliable transport / ability to reach sites when neededWhat''s On OfferOpportunity to work on leading-edge UAV technologyField deployment with real operational impactCompetitive salary, travel / deployment allowancesAutonomy, influence, and a chance to grow within a tech-driven environment
