Domestic Abuse Safeguarding Officer

RSR are currently recruiting for experienced Safeguarding Officer to work on a full-time, long-term contract in Oldbury, Birmingham. The role is paying 16.45p per hour (PAYE) The role will be situated within the Police, so applicants must be able to obtain national security vetting. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategies and safety plans to safeguard High risk (crime and non-crime) victims of domestic abuse (DA), including rape and serious sexual offences (RASSO), attempted murder, most serious violence offences (MSV), Honour Based Abuse (HBA), and Forced Marriage, jointly with relevant partner agencies, and in accordance with Force policy. Conduct risk-based visits with victims of domestic abuse, either as a sole agency or jointly.Conduct comprehensive intelligence checks using PNC, PND, Connect, Control works, Insight and other systems to support safeguarding strategies.Identify and negotiate refuge and other safeguarding accommodation, locally and nationally, and where necessary ensure that appropriate transport is arranged and victims are safely accommodated.Maintain a thorough knowledge of force policy and procedure, legislation, and guidance concerning Domestic Abuse, Honour Based Abuse, and Forced Marriage, alongside national political schemes and initiatives, local and national best practice and recommendations, ensuring protocol is followed.Provide support and guidance to front line officers regarding the completion of risk assessments, HBA Protoco
