The role of the Application Support Engineer involves delivering technical and procedural assistance to internal teams and external stakeholders in the front office. The analyst will manage incidents, troubleshoot application issues, and ensure quick resolution of outages. Collaboration with infrastructure, service desk, and IT teams is essential, requiring a proactive approach and ownership of support responsibilities.

This role requires experience with Trading Platforms and Trade Surveillance, working within Front Office Teams.

Key responsibilities include PowerShell scripting and SQL work, including navigation, tables, and schemas.

Location:

Hybrid. 3 days in the office , London

Expertise:

PowerShell Scripting (REQUIRED) , SQL, understanding of trade lifecycle and trade surveillance

Skills needed:

Proficiency in Windows and Linux/Unix environments, SQL, Oracle, and server infrastructure such as ION, IBM MQ, Deltix, TT, and ATEO.

Background in financial services, with knowledge of trading, clearing, and settlement in futures, OTC energy, and global markets.

Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills; ability to build relationships with development teams, business users, and vendors.

Experience with ITIL, change management, and process improvement.

Knowledge of API onboarding, FIX messaging, market connectivity, and high-frequency trading support; shift work and critical upgrade management experience.

Supporting clients in technical advisory roles with understanding of compliance and risk in regulated environments.

Strong PowerShell skills are essential.
