Civil Engineer

A strong opportunity for a Civil Engineer with 2 to 5 years'' experience to join a growing consultancy delivering SuDS and development infrastructure projects across Hertfordshire. This role offers hands-on involvement from planning through to detailed design within a supportive technical team.

This Civil Engineer position focuses on residential and mixed-use developments, supporting drainage and infrastructure design from concept to construction. You will work alongside experienced engineers and gain structured exposure to approvals, client liaison, and project coordination, building confidence as a Civil Engineer.

Key responsibilities
* Produce SuDS and civil engineering designs for development projects
* Support planning submissions and technical approval processes
* Prepare drawings and calculations using AutoCAD and drainage software
* Assist with detailed design packages and technical reports
* Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders

Candidate requirements
* 2 to 5 years'' experience as a Civil Engineer within a UK consultancy
* Experience in development drainage and infrastructure design
* Competent in AutoCAD and drainage tools such as Causeway Flow
* Understanding of planning, detailed design, and construction stages
* Proactive attitude and strong communication skills
