Quality Engineer Location: Beaconsfield Job Type: Full-time, permanent, on-site Salary: Competitive, based on experience We are looking for a Quality Engineer to support inspection and quality assurance across prototype and low-volume manufacturing. This Quality Engineer role combines hands-on inspection and metrology with responsibility for non-conformance investigations, supplier and customer quality, and quality management system activities. The successful Quality Engineer will play an important part in ensuring parts meet drawing, specification and customer requirements before release. Day-to-day of the role Carry out dimensional and visual inspection of prototype and low-volume parts, including machined, moulded, cast, sheet metal and 3D-printed components. Use a range of measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin and thread gauges, and where available CMM and 3D scanning systems. Verify parts against drawings, GDandT, specifications, tolerances and cosmetic standards, making clear release or quarantine decisions. Produce inspection documentation including measurement reports, first article inspection reports, certificates of conformity and other customer quality records where required. Maintain calibration records, coordinate internal and external calibration activity, and support impact assessments where equipment is found to be out of calibration.
