The facility operates state of the art casting and rolling equipment, supplying rolled metal products to a range of industries. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer looking to work within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Key Responsibilities: Attend plant breakdowns and carry out effective fault diagnosis and repairSupport plant operations including induction furnaces, automated casting, milling, rolling, annealing, pickling and slitting linesMaintain conveyors, pump systems, gearboxes, mechanical transmission systems, and overhead cranesCarry out TPM and PPM activities to maximise plant reliabilityRepair, maintain and improve plant equipment to required operational standardsUndertake installation work and continuous improvement projects as requiredWork effectively both independently and as part of a team Requirements: Minimum 3 years'' experience within a medium to heavy industrial mechanical environmentTime served Mechanical Engineer with relevant qualifications (City and Guilds, BTEC, NVQ Level 3)Strong experience with fluid power systems including HP/LP hydraulics and pneumaticsAbility to fault-find and troublesho
