ANDERSEN-EV is based in Stewartby (between Milton Keynes and Bedford) and operates a unique premier brand of residential and workplace charging points. Our Andersen-EV range of stylish charge points blends Scandinavian-inspired design with cutting edge innovation. Our patented solution hides the cable and plug from sight, helping us win partnerships with vehicle manufacturers such as Jaguar-Land Rover and Porsche UK. All our intelligent EV charging points are IoT enabled, so customers can track energy usage using our own mobile applications. We’re growing our Product and Technology team and seek an experienced, qualified, and multi-skilled Head of Development Management to strengthen technical leadership.This is an office-based role, based with the Director of Engineering, alongside the wider management and development team.Summary

As the Head of Development Management, you will work alongside our engineering team, reporting to the Director of Engineering. You will hold a Degree in Electronics Engineering and will be multiskilled in the disciplines of Electronics Hardware Design, Firmware Development, Cloud Servers, Smartphone Applications and Website implementation. You will be involved in the day-to-day management of a team of cross-skilled experts in these specialties and will also be expected to carry your own development workload. We are seeking a team player with first class management and technical skills. You will be outgoing, hardworking, and enthusiastic and will spread these attributes throughout the development team. You will be at the forefront of design and innovation, not only in our company but also within the Electric Vehicle Charging Industry as a whole. This is an office-based role as you will be expected to work very closely with the Director of Engineering, other senior management, and the development team.Alongside your supervision and development work, you’ll be expected to uphold the detailed level of documentation and reporting that all our development team deliver in support of new features and releases.Qualifications

A passion for technologyDegree level education in Electronics EngineeringFully experienced in designing circuits, schematic capture, PCB layoutBoard bring-up for both digital and analogue circuitsYou will be fully competent with Altium 365 and Altium DesignerKnowledge of EMC design principles and best practices and designing to industry regulationsExperienced with lab testing and measurement equipment such as power supplies, AC and DC loads, oscilloscopes, and near-field probesA thorough knowledge of C, Embedded C and C++A knowledge of agile product development practices, project management tools, toolchains, and unit testing softwareKnowledge of standard tools such as compilers and debuggers, especially ARM basedExperience with Espressif and Atmega microcontrollers, particularly 32 bit, and other microcontrollersExperience with developing Smartphone Applications and WebsitesAn aptitude and indeed, appetite, for problem solvingTo be fully computer literateExcellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English languageAt least 4 years’ experience as a manager in an electronics development environmentIdeal candidates

Have a keen interest in electric vehicles and the energy industryExcellent verbal communication skills and a strong command of the English languageHave extensive industry experience as an Electronics Developer with significant management experienceKey Responsibilities

Fully support the Director of Engineering in all activitiesInvolve in the day-to-day activities of the development teamGrow the development team, including recruitment and interviewingParticipate in project planningEnsure projects run to timeReport issues and deviationsCarry your own development workloadAct in the Director of Engineering’s absence and during leaveSupport production operations, including end-of-line testing and problem investigationsEducate other areas of the business (sales, marketing, customer services) as neededAdvantageous Skills/Experience
