Service Engineer - HVAC / Air Conditioning

Location: Hereford / West Midlands | Field Based

We are working with an established engineering business looking to recruit an experienced Service Engineer to join its regional field-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a growing service operation, providing planned and reactive maintenance support across a varied portfolio of commercial and industrial clients.

As a Service Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Attending customer sites to provide technical support and engineering assistance.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, repairs, refurbishments, modifications and commissioning of HVAC and air conditioning equipment.

• Responding to emergency call-outs as part of a regional on-call rota, working to a 4-hour response SLA.

• Completing site risk assessments and ensuring all work is carried out safely.

• Identifying additional service opportunities and passing potential leads to the wider business.

• Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior engineers.

• Maintaining accurate F-Gas records and compliance documentation through digital systems.

• City & Guilds 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning.

• F-Gas qualification (C&G 2079-11).

• Full UK driving licence.

• Strong experience within commercial air conditioning service and maintenance.

• Experience working with VRV, VRF, chillers, split systems and close-control equipment.

• Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

• Confident working independently and managing your own workload.

• Good communication skills and general IT literacy.

• PASMA / MEWP certification.

• Manual Handling training.

• Safe Pass qualification.

• Good geographical knowledge of the surrounding region.

Candidates must also be willing to undergo relevant security and background checks where required.

• -48,000 - -51,000 basic salary.
