Requires full assistance with all physical activities and postural support, including sitting and repositioning. Full assistance with personal care required. Learning and Development: Has a learning disability and significant global developmental delay, with limited fine motor skills. Engages best through tailored communication and sensory interaction. Epilepsy: Lives with complex epilepsy, including absence and myoclonic jerk seizures, which are frequently triggered by sound. This significantly impacts daily routines and requires a highly controlled, low-stimulation environment. Dystonia: Experiences muscle stiffness and involuntary movements in the arms and legs, requiring careful handling and ongoing therapeutic input. Scoliosis: Severe scoliosis affects breathing due to rib compression on the lungs. Close monitoring and respiratory-aware support are essential.
