Orchard Professional Solutions LTD are working with a market leading sofa manufacturer who are looking for Stores Supervisor to join their team.

The Company

Our Client are a market leading sofa manufacturer, with a turnover of close to -70m and home to around 5 brands. They offer a range of contemporary and classic styles to reflect the individual needs and lifestyles of their customers, feeding in to over 600 retail outlets across the UK.

The Role

As a stores supervisor, you will support in daily operations, staff supervision, and customer service excellence. Ensuring that stores department runs efficiently, sales targets are mets and customers receive a positive experience.

Your duties will be but not limited to:

  • Supervise and motivate store staff during assigned shifts
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure excellent customer service and handle escalated customer issues
  • Monitor sales performance and help achieve store targets
  • Train, coach, and support new and existing employees
  • Maintain store standards for cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety
  • Manage inventory, stock levels, and loss prevention procedures
  • Report daily drop offs
  • Prepare basic reports and communicate updates to management
  • Enforce company policies and procedures consistently
  • Assist with picking of materials, ensuring accuracy
  • Build and organise material cages for the production floor

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous furniture / upholstery experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a customer focused mindset with problem solving abilities
  • Basic maths, English and computer skills
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise as required
  • Ideally have experience in a supervisory role
  • Experience with MRP / ERP Systems - preferred
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team
