Our client, a leading consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking a Highway Engineer / Transport Planner to join their team. This permanent position supports the Development Management Implementation (DMI) team of a Professional Services Contract with Hertfordshire County Council. The role ensures the delivery of highways and transport services that support sustainable development across the region.Key Responsibilities:Supporting highway design or transport planning projects within public or private sector developmentsContributing to the preparation of technical drawings and documentationProviding input on development proposals and supporting technical reviewsConducting Transport Assessments and preparing highways documentation for planning applicationsEngaging with colleagues, stakeholders, and developers to ensure effective communication and collaborationDeveloping technical capability through hands-on project work and mentorshipJob Requirements:Experience in highway design or transport planningUnderstanding of development-led infrastructure and planning requirementsProficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and/or AutoCADExposure to Transport Assessments and highways documentationExcellent communication and collaboration skillsEnthusiastic, proactive, and committed to continuous professional developmentRelevant qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or Masters) in Civil Engineering, Transport Planning, or related disciplineMembership, or working towards membership, of a prof
