This is an excellent career opportunity for an ambitious engineer to become a technical sales professional and join a growing, ambitious manufacturer of automation and robotic solutions, which supplies high-performance packaging lines and bespoke solutions to the Pharma, Food and Beverage, Life Science and Biotech markets across an increasingly growing international customer base. The Wexford, Ireland based company provides their customers with bespoke, multiformat solutions and full lines. The company is a leader in secondary packaging for sweets and confectionary in the UK.In the UK technical sales manager role, you will play a significant part of the sales operations in the UK. You will be responsible for supporting food and beverage sales activities in the UK, the designing of concept designs for full lines and bespoke individual solutions, creating 2D Autocad layouts and 3D renders, support the review of budget and cost estimates, and drafting the quotations for customers. Sales activities range from client relationships, conceptual design and presentation skills.It is a family business with integrity, ownership, purpose and customer focus at the centre of what it does. The business is looking to grow this function of the business; therefore, this role will provide a lot of visibility and opportunities to grow in the coming years.This position will be a key resource to the Sales effort at Tekpak to help identify and close large scale multi-million Euro, Complex Automation Projects to World-leading Companies in Food and Life-sciences in the UK. Ideal for someone in a design team looking to move into a senior technical sales role or someone in sales looking for a step up.Responsibilities may include:Lead the drafting of concepts and drawing layouts with 2D AutoCad of individual solutions and full lines, and providing any other simulations, rendering or data to support salesGenerate quotations templates and proposals for customers.Work closely with the CEO and the Technical Director to make sure the quotations and designs include all the correct information and costs;Support pricing by working with technical director, Production director and financial controller to make sure all the pricing and cost data is correct.Serving as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions, includes speaking about the company''s products and services;Support the sales pipeline and lead tracking process to report on key KPIs related to the lead generation and conversion rates;Work with internal teams on behalf of clients to ensure the highest level of customer service;Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas.Support sales with updating CRM and maintaining that the catalogue is up to dateLead the sales activities for food sectorAttributes:Willingness to learnTeam playerCommitment to excellenceDrive and ability to work with people and get tasks doneDesire to own projects and exceed expectations, with ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapidly changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven marketAttention to detailRequirements4 or more years in the packaging, engineering or machine manufacturing industryExperience in selling automationDeep experience with AutoCad 2DSome knowledge of Solidworks 3DSome experience with working with Blender, RoboDK or something else to create 3D animations.Experience developing automation solutions and concept layout design is a distinct advantage.Competency in Word, Powerpoint and ExcelSeniority level
