Due to a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced freelance Quantity Surveyor to support ongoing projects.Your new roleAs a Freelance Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of civil engineering projects from procurement through to final account. Your duties will include:Preparing and reviewing subcontractor packages and valuationsMonitoring project costs and reporting on commercial performanceManaging change control and variationsLiaising with site teams and clients to ensure accurate cost reportingSupporting the project team with contractual and commercial adviceThis role is site-based with flexibility depending on project requirements.What you''ll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the civil engineering sectorStrong knowledge of NEC contractsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesExcellent communication and negotiation skillsA degree in Quantity Surveying or a related disciplineWhat you''ll get in returnCompetitive day rate of £400-£420, outside IR35Opportunity to work with a respected contractor on high-profile infrastructure
