A growing engineering consultancy in Reading is looking for a Geotechnical Design Engineer to join its expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of rail projects while developing your technical expertise alongside experienced engineers. • Assist in the design of foundations, retaining walls, slopes and earthworks.
• Interpret ground investigation data and prepare geotechnical assessments.
• Produce geotechnical calculations and technical reports.
• Support the delivery of rail and infrastructure projects from concept through to construction.
• Work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Attend client and project meetings where required.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant standards and project requirements.
• Contribute to technically challenging projects across the UK.

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
• At least one year''s experience within geotechnical design.
• Experience preparing technical reports and undertaking geotechnical assessments.
• An interest in working on rail and infrastructure projects.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.
