Secondary Cover Supervisor

Pay: £100– £130 per day (based on experience/qualifications)
Hours: 8:00am – 3:30pm

Supply Desk is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Portsmouth to recruit a full-time Cover Supervisor for September 2026. This is a long-term opportunity, with the potential to become permanent.

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll manage classrooms across a range of subjects—including Maths, History, and Geography—for Key Stage 3 and 4. Lessons are pre-planned; your main responsibility is to supervise, maintain behaviour, and ensure students stay engaged.

This role is perfect for individuals considering a career in teaching or those with previous education experience.

• Mixed secondary school (ages 11–16)

We are looking for individuals who:

• Have experience working with secondary-aged students (e.g. as a cover supervisor, TA, or tutor)

• Are confident in managing classroom behaviour

• Are flexible, reliable, and professional

• Hold a degree or equivalent qualification

• Are willing to cover various subjects

• Hold a DBS on the Update Service (or are willing to apply)
