We have partnered with a market leading organisation driving a greener future, in the Greater London area, specialising in the delivery of smart building and construction solutions who are now looking for an Operations Director to support the organisations sales growth and operational delivery.

Operations Director

Purpose of the Role

The Operations Director will take ownership of all ongoing, and upcoming, delivery projects with a focus on ensuring program timelines are achieved, installations are carried out and that all projects are safely delivered to schedule within budget. This is an opportunity to have control and oversight of the organisations entire delivery function to include Programme Management, Procurement, Installation & Project Management teams whilst working closely with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining vital client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the organisation on all major projects, developing strong relationships with all clients and stakeholders.
• Overseeing multiple site operations, ensuring multiple projects are delivered safely whilst maintaining compliance and efficiency
• Owning the end-to-end delivery of all projects, from concept to completion, ensuring major milestones and obligations are achieved whilst mitigating any project or programme risk.
• Managing subcontractors, suppliers and project deliverables ensuring they remain aligned with programme expectations.
• Taking responsibilities of procurement and commercial oversight, overseeing the procurement, planning and execution of all equipment and ancillary components.
• Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to maintain cost management, contract compliance and reporting of project finances and budgeting.
• Shaping and executing commercial and delivery strategy ensuring it aligns with the organisation''s growth plans.
• Leading health, safety, quality and compliance taking accountability for H&S performance across all sites.

Person Specification

Qualifications & Education:

• Demonstratable experience in leading large-scale construction, building services or other relatable infrastructure projects
• Strong background in all on-site delivery elements such as programme management, procurement, commercial controls and more
• Experienced in construction framework contracts such as NEC, JCT or equivalent would be advantageous
• Must be able to manage multi-disciplinary teams and projects concurrently whilst possessing strong client and stakeholder management skills
• Strong financial literacy and cost-control skills
• Excellent leadership & communication skills
