An established and growing engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join their Oxfordshire-based team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to take ownership of projects, work closely with a multidisciplinary team, and play a key role in delivering a wide range of development and infrastructure schemes across the region.

• Lead and deliver transport planning inputs across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments

• Prepare Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans to support planning applications

• Undertake junction capacity modelling using PICADY, ARCADY, LINSIG or similar software

• Manage projects from initial concept through to planning submission

• Liaise with clients, local authorities, architects and internal engineering teams

• Support and mentor junior team members, ensuring high technical standards

• Contribute to fee proposals, workload planning and project programming

• Ensure all work aligns with current UK policy and guidance including NPPF, DMRB and local transport strategies

• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline

• Minimum 4+ years'' experience within transport planning / development planning

• Strong understanding of UK planning policy and transport guidance

• Proficient in software such as Junctions (PICADY/ARCADY), LinSig and TRICS

• Strong report writing and communication skills

• Ability to manage projects independently and liaise with stakeholders

• Chartered status (or working towards - CIHT, TPS, ICE) desirable
