The Role
We are looking for a motivated and proactive Automation Engineer, this role involves carrying out maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, repairs and remedial works on a range of automated systems including gates, barriers, doors and shutters across a nationwide customer base.

Key Responsibilities

- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
- Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis.
- Repair and remedial works on automated systems.
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
- Ensuring systems operate safely and remain compliant with current standards.
- Accurate completion of service records and reports.
- Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent service.

-Essential Requirements:-Automation Engineer (Gates & Barriers)

- Experience working with automated gates, barriers, doors, shutters or similar- - - - - - automation systems.
- Strong electrical competency and fault-finding ability.
- Good understanding of relevant safety standards and industry best practices.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.-

Experience & Qualifications:-Automation Engineer (Gates & Barriers)

- DHF Level 2 qualification.
- Gate Safe IOSH certification.
- Manufacturer training with leading automation providers.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Reliable and professional.
- Well organised with excellent time management skills.
- Customer focused and commercially aware.
- Ambitious, with aspirations to progress and take on further responsibility.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- Full and clean driving licence
