TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of mainstream primary schools based in Wakefield, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Primary Teacher to support pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The schools provide a mainstream learning environment where children with a range of abilities and additional learning needs are supported to access the primary curriculum.

The schools are looking to take on an enthusiastic Primary Teacher for day-to-day or long-term work, with an immediate start available. The successful Primary Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, supporting phonics and guided reading sessions, adapting learning activities to meet SEND needs and maintaining effective classroom management.

The successful Primary Teacher will have:

• A PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status / QTS

• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1 / KS1 in a UK primary school

• Strong knowledge of phonics, guided reading and the National Curriculum

• Experience adapting teaching and learning to support pupils with SEND

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

• A positive, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching
