Residential Support Worker

We are looking for a caring and reliable Residential Support Worker to support adults with severe and enduring mental health needs in a residential setting.

The role involves helping service users develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to live as independently as possible within the community, while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

TEMPORARY POSITION

Key Responsibilities:

• Support service users with daily living activities in line with their individual support plans.
• Encourage independence, participation and involvement in the wider community.
• Monitor mental health, assess risks to the individual and others, and support the implementation of risk management plans.
• Recognise and report any changes or deterioration in service users'' health and wellbeing.
• Work closely with colleagues and other relevant professionals to provide consistent, effective support.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties when required, including covering for the housekeeper.

About You:

• Experience supporting people with mental health needs is desirable.
• A caring, patient and understanding approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to recognise changes in behaviour, mental state and wellbeing.
• A commitment to promoting independence, dignity and safety.
• The ability to follow support plans and safeguarding procedures.

Essential Requirement:

• A clear Enhanced DBS check is required.
