A fantastic SEN school in Reading is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Mental Health Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in psychology, mental health, education, or supporting young people with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students experiencing anxiety, emotional difficulties, low confidence, and mental health challenges.
• Help students develop emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, and positive coping strategies.
• Build trusting relationships with students, offering reassurance, encouragement, and consistent emotional support.
• Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams to implement individual wellbeing and support plans.
