Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive educational setting in Llanelli. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including those with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), autism, ADHD, and other additional learning needs. This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support in line with individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will provide one-to-one and small group support, assist with differentiated learning activities, and help create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment where pupils can thrive academically and socially. The role requires strong safeguarding awareness, effective behaviour management strategies, and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with students. Experience working within SEN provisions, alternative provisions, or mainstream schools supporting additional needs is highly desirable.
