Responsible for providing engineering support and capability to the Power Distribution Group. To enable successful delivery of operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Culham site power supply infrastructure and low voltage control systems, ensuring compliance with current legislation and codes of practice.To take full ownership of medium work packages associated with complex LV electrical equipment, complex installation / modification tasks, and technical studies to the LV primary level, including preparation of documentation from design concept to installation and operation.The job holder shall be expected to be at a competency needed to authorise and supervise work on electrical systems.Accountabilities: Design, build, commissioning and testing of industrial/fusion/commercial plant at a LV level, including UPS, generators, and automatic change-over systems. Take full ownership of relevant work packages ensuring all technical criteria are satisfied and that work can be carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner.
