Grade A Recruitment is currently seeking a creative, enthusiastic and experienced Art Teacher or Art Instructor to join a mainstream secondary school in Peterborough from January 2027.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging Art lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5 (up to A-Level), inspiring students to develop their creativity, practical skills and artistic knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons up to A-Level.
• Undertake full teaching responsibilities, including planning, preparation, marking and assessment.
• Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students in developing their artistic skills and confidence.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience teaching Art as an Instructor.
• Experience teaching Art within a secondary school setting, ideally up to A-Level.
• Confidence in undertaking full teaching duties.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A genuine passion for Art and inspiring young people.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
