Quantity Surveyor andndash; House Builder - Stockportandndash; Permanent andndash; Up to andpound;60,000 salary

My client is a private, family-owned property development company based in Cheshire and one of the UKs leading builders of new homes, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor who will work between Office and Sites in the Northwest Region.

Duties to include:
andbull; Pre-start meetings for the departments to be briefed on the nature of the scheme and any issues affecting it.
andbull; Project manage the working budgets
andbull; New subcontractor meetings to discuss all aspects of their order including programme and issues raised by either party.
andbull; Cost to complete reports
andbull; Interim monthly/quarterly valuations
andbull; Payment of subcontractors/suppliers
andbull; Development meetings on site
andbull; Liaison with Site Managers
andbull; Cost feedback to Commercial Director
andbull; Contra-charges (re-charges) against Sub-contractors
andbull; Surveyor Team Meetings
andbull; Close liaison with Development department proving feedback on drawing errors, amends and subcontractor queries

Knowledge andamp; Specific Job Skills:
andbull; Previous experience in a QS role within Housing/Construction industry
andbull; Relevant qualifications, QS degree or similar
andbull; IT literate, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, COINS
andbull; Clean driving licence
