Based in the heart of Milton Keynes the Philanthropy Officer will be part of the philanthropy team, supporting grant making programmes and develop income that is valuable for the community.
 
Are you looking to make a difference and are able to manage a busy and varied workload, working with members of a charity to ensure an efficient and successful Philanthropy function.
Our client are looking for a self-motivated person with good analytical skills, able to produce reports and assessments to present to panels for discussion. This role needs good communication skills, someone able to deal with a wide variety of people including community representatives, donors, and other stakeholders.
With a strong team culture and clear understanding of collaborative working to drive our clients values of Funding Fairness.
 
PERSON SPECIFICATION:

• Exceptional communication skills, articulate with the ability to relate to the voluntary sector, donors, and members to establish a rapport and credibility with a range of people
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Confident in answering the telephone and fielding calls
• Proven organisational skills; excels at working under pressure
• Strong administrative skills, efficient and able to prioritise and meet tight deadlines
• Good attention to detail, with the ability to think laterally, analytically and to independently solve problems
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office, CRM (Salesforce preferable), email and web
• Excellent research, assessment and written skills, and an ability to undertake quality evaluation and monitoring
• Some knowledge of Philanthropy activity in meeting donor and member needs would be advantageous
• Previous experience and understanding of financial matters in assessing project budgets and viability
• Knowledge of the local voluntary sector and how the sector enhances the quality of life for local people
