Senior Commercial Contract Manager

Role Overview
The Senior Commercial Contract Manager will report directly to the Corporate Director of Commercial. In this role, you will be responsible for:Contract Management:Develop, refine and execute contract management plans in line with government guidance and best practiceRefine/execute a contractual change processesConduct negotiations for changes related to the contractReview and amend contract documents, including service level exhibits, statements of work in line with agreed changesMaintain and refine exit plans as necessary to ensure orderly contract exitsIdentify and mitigate commercial riskStakeholder Management:Develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholdersIntervene, analyse, manage, and resolve business conflicts between MaPS and the vendors / suppliers and manage internal stakeholdersSkills and Experience RequiredMCIPS or equivalent such as IACCM/WCC OR equivalent relevant experience or accreditationProven track record of working effectively in commercial contract management and strong and demonstrable experience of commercial contract management at a senior level (ideally 5-10 years’ experience in a similar role and be interested in, and able to add value to, the development of our contract management capability)Experienced in commercial cost models and their practical implementationCost benchmarkingContract audits and assuranceAbout UsThe Money and Pensions Service (MaPS) is based in Bedford, in a recently renovated modern office. As standard, we work on a hybrid basis with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week. Hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and our headquarters in Bedford will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business needs, but personal and other relevant circumstances will also be considered.
