This hands-on Management Accountant position will support the Finance Director and take ownership of core accounting, reporting and control activities across the group. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial processes, improving reporting accuracy and delivering timely management information. Day-to-day of the role Review, update and reconcile integrated profit and loss, balance sheet and cashflow forecasts across multiple group entities. Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet reporting and supporting schedules, within agreed deadlines. Complete monthly group consolidations, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations. Analyse performance against budget, forecast and prior periods, providing clear commentary on key variances. Ensure accurate accounting for accruals, prepayments, deferred income, work in progress and revenue recognition. Prepare, reconcile and submit VAT returns, including international transactions and reverse charge considerations. Own monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including bank, payroll, pension, control account and intercompany balances.
