Job Description: Proactive Personnel are currently looking for a CNC Machinist who has used Doosan machine. Hours: Monday - Friday - 7:45am - 5pm early finish on Fridays Key Responsibilities Set, program, and operate Doosan CNC lathes and machining centres (Fanuc or Siemens control). Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications to machine precision components. Select and set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for production runs. Perform machine setup, offsets, and tool changes to maintain dimensional accuracy. Inspect components using micrometers, verniers, gauges, and CMM equipment to verify tolerances. Optimise cutting speeds, feeds, and cycles to reduce downtime and improve productivity. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure reliable machine performance. Work to tight tolerances and high surface finish requirements on one-off and small batch work. Collaborate with the engineering and quality teams to ensure continuous improvement of processes. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workspace, adhering to company safety and quality procedures. Skills and Experience Required Proven experience as a CNC Machinist working with Doosan machines. Knowledge of Fanuc or Siemens controls essential. Strong understanding of CNC turning and milling operations, tooling, and work-holding. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
